The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and EU Cookie Directive were adopted on 14th April 2016 and became enforceable as of 25th May 2018. Nearly five years and BREXIT later, we delve into the background of why it was introduced, what happened pre and during enforcement, what we can see post enforcement and just how relevant, if at all, they remain now.

OK, so this topic may seem to those in the know, or who have direct experience with GDPR and the EU Cookie Directive as a bit obvious. But in our experience, many SME businesses, website owners and even website development and marketing agencies, are still questioning their legitimacy and need.  This is far more apparent for the EU Cookie Directive, but did you know that it links directly to GDPR?
